The evening begins with a social hour and networking from 6:00–7:00 PM, followed by a RACE-pending CE presentation from 7:00–8:00 PM. Dr. Margie Owen, DVM, MS, DACVS-SA will present The Art of the Comfortable Patient: Opioids in Small Animals.

Dr. Margie Owen, DVM, DACVS-SA, will discuss the role of opioids in small animal medicine, including appropriate selection, dosing strategies, and balancing effective pain control with patient safety. The presentation will also cover common misconceptions, practical clinical applications, and how to optimize comfort for both surgical and medical patients.
